The Phoenix

 

In Greek mythology, a phoenix is a bird that is reborn again and again, rising into its new life from the ashes of its predecessor.

 

This was one of the first images I was able to get onto paper, and I know that I had been thinking - at the suggestion of a friend - that after I made this project, I would be reborn (in stark contrast to those who told me that I would have a nervous breakdown!). The image in the circle was my idea of a phoenix.
