The leaf was whole at first. It was then split, blood pouring forth.
One workshop participant described the sense of invasion she got from the leaf being split apart, and it illuminated for her the fact that rape is not at all a sexy, desirable experience, as many of them had thought.
Another participant questioned whether or not a prostitute could ever be raped. This person said that, as long as a prostitute had sex all the time, it would be impossible for anything to feel like an invasion. After much heated debate, the participants (high school students) concluded that since rape was actually not about sex - but about violence – that, yes, prostitutes can be raped.
