 Rape is a nuclear warhead of black. 
 It attacks by surprise, without warning 
 No concern for its target’s name, 
     motherfatherbrothersisterfriend history. 
 Only to feel a surge of power, 
     which renders its target 
     dead 

     mute 

     invaded. 

 Once the war starts, 
     negotiations are hard to come by. 
 In fact, 
     rapists do not negotiate. 

 They explode black missiles into sun yellows. 

 Rape is a crime. 
 A mugging of one’s body, 
 One’s soul 
 Being robbed - your stereo or car or T.V. or money – 
 All of that can be replaced.
